Thirteen ( Alton Towers)
This advertisement Alton Towers did i think was a very good advert and i think it shows in the advert just how scary the ride is. I think that this advert would appeal to any audience apart from little children as i think that it would be too scary for them. however i really think it would appeal to teenagers and adults. This advert throughout the whole avert is dark and dull and uses dark colors such as black, grey and white. It also had music in the background throughout the whole advert which you would see in a horror music which sound like scraping and stuff breaking and its creepy music so i think that the music goes well with the whole advert and would defiantly make people want to try this new ride. in the advertisement is also shows you a preview of the ride and shows people screaming so this would give them a preview look at it and shows them what happens when your on it. i think this is better by showing previews of the ride to show the viewers what they would be dealing with and also what to look forward to.
Sony Bravia
When i first watched this advert i had no idea that it would be sony bravia as its an advert full of firstly soft classical music then it got bigger and bolder with different colors shooting from everywhere. I was so shocked when i realized it was advertising a TV. I this this advert is very cleverly put together and well thought out because even when all the colors are shooting out of the chimneys they are going in tune with the music. i didn't think that the company would use classical music as i thought they would use a song that is very popular at the time as it would be more teenagers and adults they would be interested in the TV and i don't think that this music would attract that audience.
I think this advert is boring and i wouldn't like to sit there and watch it so i think that most teenagers would agree with me so then its an audience which would be missing the advert because they don't find it interesting.
Aero Feel the bubbles.
I Love this advert and think that its absolutely amazing. I think the whole promotional part of this advert works really well as the fact that a lad is skateboarding through a lot of brown balloons that look a lot like chocolate bubbles, and this is exactly what aero was trying to do with this. I think that the music they use with this video goes really well with the whole theme as well with playing the jackson 5 song as it works with the whole skateboarding.
I think that with this advert is would be a very successful advert because it would attract all different age of viewers. it would attract adults with the fact it played the Jackson 5 song so that would make them happy hearing the song that was a big hit when they were teenagers. it would attract teenagers with the skateboarding and and even little children would like it because they are skateboarding through all of the balloons. So if it appeals to all audiences then thats good because they would get more viewers watching their advert and want them to buy their product.
Spec savers ( VIRAL/GUERILLA ADVERTISING )
When i saw this specs savers advert i though that it was a lynx advert because the main plot of the advert is a man on a desert island and he's spraying deodorant and lots of girls run towards him, so when viewers first watch this they would automatically think that its a spray advert, then at the end the man puts a pair of glasses on they didnt like so the women stopped running and walked off. I think this advert is good because it isnt what you think and it will also get viewers talking about it. However you know that they have took the idea of a lynx advert and its doing its own version of this advert, so it would get bad responses because of this reason for taking someone else's idea.
At the end of the advert it says " SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SPEC SAVERS " and i think this is a really catchy line and think thats a good slogan to use because of the situation the man is in. Throughout the whole advert it uses a high pitched classical music stating that the man is obviously the one with the power and all the girls would be attracted to this and i think it goes really well with the whole theme and think this works really well. It also has a promotional part at the end showing the offers they have at spec savers which is a good way of promoting there glasses.
T-Mobile ( VIRAL/GUERILLA ADVERTISING )
When i first watched this T-mobile advert i thought that maybe it was promoting a company to do with music maybe an ipod, however when i found out at the end of the advert it was T-mobile i was really surprised. I think this is a good reaction to have because it wasn't what i was expecting so it was a really clever was of promoting a product.
The whole video has nothing to do with a phone however at the end when it says LIFES FOR SHARING its a really good slogan for the company to show that everyone got involved with the dance and also that people could share the experience with each other like they could do if they joined with this company. I do think this is a really good way of promoting the phone company, even though the video contains just a group of people dancing and doesn't have anyone talking about the company in the background i think this whole advert work's really well and people will end up talking about this to their friends and thats what they wanted to do.

Dominos Vs Pizza Hut
Dominos pizza's advert would appeal to any audience because its all about humor. I think that this advert it persuasive to the viewers because it is advertising its new pizza the meltdown revenge and it says in the middle can you handle the hotness, which people could watch and think that i might try that pizza to see if its really that hot. its also saying that noone would be able to eat this pizza without them finding it really hot so the viewers may find it to be a challenge to see if they could handle the hotness. The whole video is based on humor because of the firemen having to come because the pizza is so hot so this advert could encourage more people to try the pizza and i think it would work.
However with the pizza hut advert i think that it does appeal to any audience and i think that the whole advert is based around wanting to make the viewers laugh and i think that everyone could love this advert. but i dont think it encourages people to buy there pizzas like dominos do because the viewers would be paying more attention to the advert not the fact its pizza huts advert.
With both of these adverts i think there good with grabbing the viewers attention with the pizzas because they both show a pizza there promoting and go through exactly what the viewer would be expecting and makes the viewer then feel hungry and want to order some food from then.
Pepsi Max Vs Ribena
Pepsi Max's advert would appeal more to teenagers and adults i think because its all based around comedy. The company pepsi max obviously wanted to make the viewers laugh when they watched this advert, and i dont think that yong children would find this advert amusing. This advert it packed with lots of action and i think its a good advert for pepsi max. They show throughout the advert the men either having the drink next to them or drinking the product, so people might automatically buy the drink because they may think of the advert when purchasing the item so may persuade them to then buy the drink.
Also when you look at this Ribena drink i think it would appeal more to anyone because children would like it because its more of a cartoony advert whereas for adults it also contains a bit of humor when the the blackberry gets squashed at the end of the advert, The music in the background is also the sort of music you could see in a cartoon so i think this product could attract all ages.

Iphone vs Nokia
These Two companies the Apple iphone 3Gs and the Nokia N97 are companies that sell the same product. They both sell mobile phones and also the gadgets that goes with them however when looking at the prices and also the applications are different.
The Apple iphone advert is full of information and throughout the whole advert it it just showing the different apps that the phone has. It also makes the viewer want to buy the iphone because of all of the information that it gives you and the customer might think that it would be worth the money because of the amount of things the phone can do and because no other phone does this. Even though this advert is very simple i think its a good way of selling the product because the voice over in the background talk's about all the positive aspects of the phone. The music in the background is very happy and soft and this could put the viewer in a happy positive mood and make them also want to buy the iphone. i think this iphone advert would appeal more to adults because a man is talking about buying a coffee machine for this girlfriend and showing the apps they could use to get the present cheaper and what color to get it and think that if teenagers saw this clip they would pay more attention if it involved something they would enjoy.
However the Nokia advert is full of moving images and alot busier than the iphone advert. I think this is a very good way of showing the product and think that it would be a good advert people would like to watch. It shows the viewer things the positive things the phone can do and shows the viewer the things they think that the viewer would like to see. It also has happy music in the background to put the viewer in a happy mood and i think this goes really well with the whole clip of the advert. I think this advert would appeal more to teenagers because it shows that the phone has facebook, music, it can take images, and they can communicate with there friends better with this phone.
Celebrity Big Brother Vs I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here !
Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here are both reality TV series starring a bunch of celebrities who are kept in a jungle or a house and they have to do trials and tasks and try to win the win the public vote or they will get voted out.
In I'm a celebrity the group are kept in a jungle and the public vote the person they want to do each of the trials. by doing this they will win food and luxuries for their campmates. The promotional material is mostly the same including lots of trees and leaves and also an image of an animal or insect. On The opening credits of the series they introduce all of the contestants every time it come's on. Whereas In Big Brother they have a bunch of housemates that are kept in a house and the public decided who they want to vote out each week. They also have to do trials however they get to pick themselves who does what trial themselves. Big Brother's promotional material involved the image of the eye which is made of flames. In the opening credits of big brother that mostly contains the eye that you see everywhere.
Both programmes are known for their catchy music which make the adverts well known as people know there theme tunes.
The programme for the opening credits i prefer is is big brother because i like the whole set out and i think the music goes really well with the programme. i also like the design of the eye that they use everywhere especially when its made out of flames.
Cosmopolitan V New! Magazine
Cosmopolitan and FHM are both magazines however they are both aimed for different audiences. Cosmo's main audience is for women aged 16+ as it contains stories and information teenage girls wouldn't read. On the front of Cosmo they have a number of different stories from Advice , make-up tips, must read articles and also columns about men. the whole layout is neatly put together and uses the same colors including Hot pink, light blue, white and black. All of the fonts on the front cover of cosmo are all different shapes and sizes however all of the layout it neatly put together around the main image of the celebrity and also including the name of the company. However i think even teenage girls would like to read new magazine because it involves mostly celebrity stories and other columns such as diet tips. The layout of this magazine is totally different compared to cosmo because the colors used are Hot pink, Luminous yellow, Light Blue, Dark blue, black and white. They are girly colors. And there are also a variety of images involved on this front cover which isnt in cosmo. In this magazine it shows a picture with every story its talking about to give the viewer a glance of what they will be reading. the font is all the same in this magazine however they have changed the sizes of the lettering with the most important story being the biggest to the cost being the smallest. The magazine i would buy is new magazine because i think this magazine stands out more to me and i think because it has images to give you a preview of each story it makes me want to read more, whereas cosmo is bland and boring compared to new.
JUICY COUTURE VS MARKS&SPENCER BAG
Juicy Couture and Marks & Spencer both sell bags. However Juicy corture bags cost alot more and i think you can tell this with the design of the bags. The purple Juicy Couture bag is a big bag with alot of design including goldtone hardware, top handles with rings, a cinched top with bow detail, studded detail and Logo fabric lining. When you look at this bag you can see that it would cost alot of money due to the style and the material it has used being put together and i think it is worth the money because of this. You would see more upper class people buying this bag because it is so expensive however if you look at the Marks&Spencer bag is not real leather with a plain design including a pleat detail and rose corsage. Thats the only detail on this bag and i think that you tell it isn't worth that much.
From looking at both of these bags you can tell which bag cost more than the other and which one people would buy if they had to the only problem is is that the cost of the Juicy bag is a lot more expensive. I Would definatly pick the Juicy bag because it looks alot nicer and i think its really pretty and worth the money you would have to pay. also you would know that the bag would last longer and would keep in better condition compared to the Marks&Spencer bag.
NHS QUIT SMOKING
On the website of the NHS QUIT SMOKING it is totally different to what i imagined. i thought that the website would be like all of the promotional products with making the viewers feel unhappy and make people want to quit smoking because of the images and stories they tell however the website it totally different with it making you feel happy and comfortable with the fact that they will be helping you. they have motion pictures with happy faces all over the page and also nice bright colors like light blue and green. i think this website would encourage people more to stop smoking and make it feel more like a positive environment.
NHS QUIT SMOKING
I think this poster could be effective because when you read it you feel really sad. I think this because the boy is telling his dad to stop smoking and said that he knew he read the sun so he wanted to broadcast it in the newspaper. i think that if smokers read this then they could feel really bad for smoking around there children then this could then encourage them to stop. With this advert they use effective writing because they know then that this is a way to persuade people to stop smoking and they also use the image of a teenager looking really unhappy which could make people think about this advert more than they would with any other advert.

NHS QUIT SMOKING
The NHS quit smoking campaign is basically trying to decrease the number of people who smoke. This video i don't think you would expect it to the be sort of video used for smoking videos when you watch the beginning of it because it makes you really happy and smile when you see all of the children copying there parents however when it gets to the end of the advert and you see the little girl copying her mum smoking i think that could be a wake-up call for some parents who smoke because it shows that children do copy there parents alot. I think that this video is trying to make people who smoke feel guilty because then there children might end up smoking because they smoke so then they might stop.
THINK UK ROAD SAFETY
I think this poster is really upsetting just like the advert because of the words that are included in the poster. Its the boy saying it to the driver of the car that killed him saying that the guilt with always with with him. I think this advert is really upsetting for the same reasons thats in the advert, because its the victim thats talking telling the viewers that its an innocent child being killed due to someone speeding. Within the poster they use black and white colors and there is only one image thats included thats the image of the little boys shoe still lying in the road. Most of the image are the words of the little boy which make you feel really upset because he was the victim and you end up disliking the driver for killing the little boy.
ThINK UK ROAD SAFETY
The Whole layout of this page is used with dark colors, with blacks, greens and dark blue. This is to compare the colors of the website to the serious issue of speeding while driving. It gives information about alot of issues not just speeding so it gives information to any age. It hasn't got any music on the website but it has a medium size font of the logo THINK and road safety written next to it. This website doesn't really make me feel sad like the advert does so i dont think its as effective as the other promotional material.
THINK UK ROAD SAFETY
The campaign THINK is a basic speed organization who is trying to decrease the number of people of car accidents that occur due to speeding. When i see this advert i feel like i cant watch it because its horrible to see what damage it can cause to an innocent child when someone is speeding. This advert shows a little girl lying on the floor then it rewinds back through the accident and through all the injuries of her bones cracking and blood leaking, it goes through how she could have survived if the driver had been going at there normal speed limit. Throughout the whole of this advert it sticks to dull colors and also has the little girl talking in the background talking about the fact that if the driver would have stuck to the speed limit there's more of a chance she will survive. I think that this advert is very gruesome and it makes you feel very unhappy.
National Dogs Trust
This campaign is a dog shelter about re-homing stray dogs and giving them new homes. On there website it has a variety of images of different dogs they have within their shelter. On the homepage it has an image of a dog and the words Will you give your heart to me? so this is putting the viewer under pressure for wanting to do something about the fact the dogs don't have a home so it will make more people want to do something about it. It doesn't contain any music on the website but it does use bright colors and also the categories of either, Sponsor a dog, Re-home a dog, Becoming a member and also about all of the dogs trusts around local areas
National Dogs Trust
This is a campaign for re-homing or sponsoring dogs. Within the advert you see the story of three different dogs of how dogs trust found them in a bad state and then how they are happy now. They used the stories to get sympathy of the viewers and this could make them want to either sponsor a dog or re-home one. They use music at the beginning which is a happy melody showing the dogs are now happy and they are bouncing around but when it goes into the part where they are telling the story about each of the dogs it goes slow to capture the viewers attention and make them want to watch the advert and make them feel bad for what has happened to the dog so then will help the dog. Throughout the advert there is a man talking about what dogs trust is about and also taking about how you sponsor a dog and what will happen throughout the process, this then gives the information however is also trying to convince the viewers to either sponsor a dog or either buy a dog.
National Dogs Trust
National dogs trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the Uk and helps re-home alot of stray dogs and helps them find new homes. When you look at this poster it makes you feel sad as the dog they have used looks unhappy and makes you feel distressed because there are dogs who get mistreated and try to captivate the viewers attention. They have used dull colors to focus all of the attention on the dog and also on the main headline SMALL DOG SEEKS BIG LOVE. It makes people want to contact the dogs trust and to take in a stray dog or to sponsor one.
